after Debbie finished it was Bills turn. by now the room was swimming with color and getting kind of scary almost. Oddly I have a picture of Bill and Debbie from this very night before we headed back to listen. (AT the end of this tape, there is a Images in Vogue demo song I put on here one night while at rehersal. One of those times you needed 4 min of blank tape, and there it was so …”added bonus” 🙂

ever remember the FIRST time you heard industrial music ? Sometimes its how you are introduced that makes a big impact. On this particular night of 22/6 /1983 I was a innocent drummer of a new wave band called Images in Vogue. At that time mostly into new wave, Ymo and Punk. Had never been introduced yet to what was the real formative underground that was currently being invented. I met up with Bill Leeb and his girlfriend Debbie Jones one night and they asked me if Id like to join them after the club to listen to some music. They were SUPER into whatever it was they wanted to play me, and they had a Dj setup in their living room. Bill asked me to come into the kitchen, and handed me some thing and said hey try this. It was MDA and also the first time i was to to try this. Suddenly the room changed and I dont think I was prepared for what my ears were about to hear. I saw Debbie pull out a fresh cassette and said , “Im going to record this”. ! Straight like a line from videodrome. The recording you can hear IS that actual cassette. Ill let you imagine how it hit me. Ideally it changed my life. The B Side was Bills turn, and thats next week. ENJOY
